We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and suitably experienced Pastoral Assistant to join our nurturing and supportive community at Harlescott Junior School.

 About the Role:
This role will be an exciting one working closely with the SENCO and Deputy Head providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students where pupils’ barriers to learning are overcome and emotional, mental health and welfare needs are met.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of pupils with ASD, ADHD, ADD, PDA and applying recommendations from external agencies. They will be champions for positive relationships and promoting mental health and wellbeing. They will have experience of working in partnership with staff and parents supporting positive behaviour management.

We are looking for candidates who are positive, resilient, forward looking and enthusiastic about making a difference. We can offer a positive and thriving school environment, a great team of staff, a commitment to continuing professional development and some pretty fantastic children too!

The Severn Bridges Multi-Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; pre-employment checks will be carried out, references will be sought and successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks with statutory bodies. Should you be shortlisted, further information relating to criminal records, sanctions and disqualifications will be requested and discussed at interview.

Applications should be received on mynewterm via the school website.

Closing date: 9am Friday 20th November

Interviews: Friday 27th November

Thank you for your interest in this post.
