Full-Time SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Outdoor Learning Focus

We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and ambitious HLTA to join the Severndale Team. You will bejoining an exceptional group of highly skilled Teachers, HLTAs, Teaching Assistants and support staff whowork collaboratively to provide a highly personalised curriculum. We particularly encourage HLTAs/OutdoorLearning Practitioners or experienced TAs with experience in Outdoor SEND provision in Special orMainstream schools who have a passion for meeting the holistic needs of our complex learners.

What is the purpose of the role: 

The main purpose of this post is to co-ordinate, devise daily/weekly plans from medium term planning, riskassess appropriately and deliver lessons to pupils with a range of SEND, tailoring sessions to their IEPs,physical needs and positive behaviour support plans. These lessons in the main will be in one of our ForestSchool areas. You would be supervised and supported in this by an allocated Senior Leader as part of theForest School Team. You would bring significant school experience as a TA or HLTA with skills and knowledgein supporting children with SEND and will also be well organised and a great communicator, able tocompromise and reach mutually acceptable outcomes with staff and pupils.
